EmuCR:PS2 emulatorPCSX2 SVN r3771 is released. PCSX2 is an open source PlayStation 2 (PS2) emulator for the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems. With the most recent versions, many PS2 games are playable (although speed limitations have made play-to-completion tests for many games impractical), and several games are claimed to have full functionality.

HyperSpin v1.2

HyperSpin v1.2 is released. HyperSpin is an animated arcade frontend for Windows for use on Home Arcade Machines. HyperSpin allows you to create custom menu systems to run most executables with that arcade look and feel.HyperSpin takes a more artwork oriented approach to creating menu’s. With this tool you should be able to make interesting menu’s for your games, movies etc..

HyperSpin is a very easy to setup and operate system so that even the novice of users may have a great looking front end. Using the HyperHQ configuration application, and our customized theme creation application HyperTheme, users will be able to quickly and easily get started using HyperSpin.

Hyperspin verion 1.2 has been out for a little while.

Please install the 1.0 install pack first before getting these, then update with these new executables.

Added Can now load your favorites list per system as default.
You must add a line to the ini file if you want this to work for now until a new HQ is released.

Added a few particle engine features , rotate to angle , toggle movement, and new particles on top, particle blend modes.

Fixed 360 joysticks not stopping due to improper call to LEDBlinky.

Fixed Mouse controls sometimes acting up when launching other programs.

Fixed – Possible fix to Rain Float carrying over to other themes. Not fully tested since can’t reproduce.

Fixed – Possible fix to Background music not stopping on new themes from previous thems. Not fully tested since can’t reproduce.

gpSP4Symbian v0.6.1

EmuCR:gpSP4SymbiangpSP4Symbian v0.6.1 is released. gpSP4Symbian is a Gameboy Advance emulator (GBA) for Symbian S60 3rd edition.This emulator is based on gpSP. It also uses SDL port by Anotherguest. 

the gpSP is a gameboy advance emulator originally written by Exophase. And now it’s ported to the Symbian OS!

This version adds an experimental audio into the gpsp. The audio is pretty much behind from the action, but it still can create quite nice mood for RPG-games.

How to get good audio:
At least with some games it seems that the emulator can not buffer enough when the audio is set “ON” when loading a ROM. If the audio is clicking badly you should set the audio OFF and click continue. Now the emulator will have some time to buffer some audio 🙂 After a while you can switch the audio back into ON position again.

know issues:
* It’s a gpsp port, so see the gpsp compatibility list before complaining about non-working ROMs
* Audio is not yet implemented (I’m waiting for new Qt release with QAudio implementation)
* loading the state freezes the emulator in some games ( don’t worry, the batterysave still works)
* the emulator crashes if you try to load a ROM without setting the BIOS
* there are some limitations in the ZIP file support, so maybe you have to upzipt the ROMs
* The ZIP files seem to be eating quite a lot of RAM, so If ROM doesn’t work, try extracting it.
* Samsung blit fails when “keep aspect ratio” is ticked off
* The audio is quite much behind from the action

Installation:
Same process as with the AntSnes:

1. First Install Qt 4.6.3 binaries into your phone
Nokia users can just download and install this Download Qt installation package
2. Download the gpsp4symbian.sis
3. gpsp4Symbian requires the SWEvent capability. The SwEvent is required for key mapping: Now you can map call/end call etc. buttons for the gpsp usage. Therefore the following step is required to install the SW.

Go to SymbianSigned and sign the gpsp4Symbian.sis for your own phone IMEI
using free Open Signed Online option https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do this operation should be free of any charge.
Read carefully the instructions on the SymbianSigned site.
You must give them

* Your Phone IMEI (you can obtain it digiting *#06# on your phone)
* Your EMAIL Address
* gpsp4Symbian SIS Package

And then the symbiansigned should email you the signed gpsp4Symbianfor your phone. This package will be installable ONLY on your phone. This procedure works for all Symbian S60V5 Phones. I had also to change to date on the phone into yesterday to get it working..

EmuCR:WinUAEWinUAE v2.3.0 Beta 17 is released.Winuae is the commodore amiga emulator for Windows. WinUAE is a mostly complete software emulation of the hardware of the Commodore Amiga 500/1000/2000. A Commodore Amiga, for those who don’t know, is a 16/32 bit computer system based on the Motorola 680×0 CPU and a few specially designed custom chips that provide very good graphics and sound capabilities. Its first incarnation, the A1000, appeared in 1985, followed by the highly successful A500 and A2000 models. WinUAE is a port of the originally written for Unixish systems UAE; but over time, it seems the Windows port, WinUAE has become the best version available on any platform. WinUAE is free software: you are welcome to distribute copies of it and/or modify it, under certain conditions. There is no warranty of any kind for UAE. For more details concerning these issues, please read the GNU General Public License, which describes the terms under which WinUAE is distributed.

WinUAE v2.3.0 Beta 17 changelog:
– removed duplicate “none” in filter list
– RTD also missed address error check
– MMU emulation bus error handler uses C++ exceptions again (like in original Aranym version), removed some not so useful forced inlining, smaller executable.
– decided to disable some MMU table caching and suddenly NetBSD crash disappeared, MMU emulation is probably much slower now but at least it seems to work until proper fix is found, (hopefully Aranym developers have some ideas) Debian 68k Sarge Linux confirmed working now
– right border color “glitch” when waiting for hpos<7 in copper list broke in b3
– only disable Direct3D9Ex if pixel shader support is < 2.0
– do not open files smaller than blocksize (512 bytes) as a hardfile
– hardfile dialog accepts dragged and dropped files

EmuCR: MESSMESS SVN r9094 is released. MESS(Multi Emulator Super System) is an open source emulator which emulates a large variety of different systems. MESS is a source-available project which documents the hardware for a wide variety of (mostly vintage) computers, video game consoles, and calculators through software emulation, as MAME does for arcade games. As a nice side effect to this documentation, MESS allows software and games for these hardware platforms to be run on modern PCs.

EmuCR:JPcspJpcsp SVN r1766 is released. JPCSP is a PlayStation Portable(PSP) emulator which is written in JAVA. JPCSP is the first PSP emulator that is written in JAVA. Most people think java is too slow. But Shadow and his team has proven us wrong. The newest Java versions are almost as fast as C which makes it very interesting for emu dev’s. Shadow and his team are working day and night with pleasure on the emu, many coders have dedicated to the project. Because it’s written in java many young devs find it interesting to learn how the emulator works.
